Return Policy

We realize that you have spent a considerable amount of money to upgrade your pontoon boat with new pontoon furniture. With this in mind, we have created a generous return policy designed to give you peace of mind when shopping with boatseatdirect.com.


If you are unsatisfied for ANY reason, return the unused merchandise within 30 days of the date it was shipped to you and we will issue a refund or an exchange. Any item returned to us after the 30 days will incur a 20% restock fee.


To return merchandise:

  1. Contact our customer service department by calling 800-xxx-xxxx or emailing customerservice@boatseatdirect.com and outline the issue you are having with your purchase.
  2. Our customer service representative will email or fax you a return authorization form along with a unique return authorization number.
  3. Fill out the form indicating the reason and the action you wish to be taken.
  4. Fully insure the merchandise and ship it to us via FedEx Ground.

Returns will be processed within 7-10 business days from the date it is received back at our facilities. Upon arrival, the merchandise will be inspected for signs of wear or damage. Please note that any items showing signs of wear or damage cannot be accepted for return – the returned item must be in saleable condition.


Damaged Items

  • Please contact us immediately if your order arrives damaged.
  • You must contact us within 20 days of receiving damaged merchandise. This is the deadline the shipping company gives us in order to submit a damage claim.
  • In order for your damage claim to be processed as quickly as possible, please provide us with a photo of the damage so we may work efficiently to get it corrected.
  • Please be careful when opening packages of marine seating. It is very easy to slice thru the cardboard and end up slicing the vinyl. We cannot be responsible for any vinyl damage due to slicing.

Caring for your Pontoon Furniture

  1. We recommend cleaning your seats at least twice a year using a cleaner approved for use on marine vinyl.
  2. When storing your boat, always keep your seats clean and dry.
  3. Do not use cleaners such as WD409, Simple Green, Fantastik, ArmorAll, etc, as all of these cleaners have chemicals that will dry out your upholstery and lead to cracking.
  4. Always remove stains immediately.
  5. Do not use any heavy abrasives or power washers on your marine seating, as these will scratch/damage the surface of your interior.
